Acupuncture treatment has been known since the 17th century. Acupuncture originated from China, the Chinese called is zhenjiu (read: cenciu).

According to the Chinese historian Sima Qian, and they have found evidence that acupuncture has been known since 5000 years ago. They used a pointed stone, bamboo and fish bones instead of needles.

Acupuncture itself is absorbed from the Latin word "Acupuncture" which is a combination of two words acus = needle, and Puncture = stabs.

Acupuncture treatment was not only to humans, but now acupuncture for pets becoming popular.

There are more than 150 acupuncture points on the body of a dog with 50-100 points most commonly used. Overall, acupuncture is based on the principle of restoring balance in the body.

Acupuncture for animals is most often performed to treat kidney disease, skin, liver, and other common diseases. Acupuncture treatment is usually combined with traditional treatments, such as physical therapy or use of herbs.

As with any medical treatment, acupuncture also has inherent risks, but the risk is quite small. For example, the potential for infection, although this is very rare because usually the size of the needle used is very small and has been sterilized. But it's good before your pet, undergoing acupuncture, you ask in advance about the cleanliness or sterilization of acupuncture tools.

Place of acupuncture for animals not yet widely available, if you feel free to do acupuncture for your pet, you should first consult the vet. You can also ask for a referral where the best acupuncture place.

Despite advances in medical science is growing rapidly, acupuncture is still a place in the hearts of the people, because it is one of the most effective alternative treatment.

Wonder Pets

Starting from a concern for the cat, now Geoff and Anne Warmouth become the owner of Wesley the 'King Cat' from Waukee, Iowa, United States.

Wesley first began to be maintained by the couple in 1998.

Warmouth find Wesley at the sight of the local police and a veterinarian who is saving cats on U.S. Highway 6. They were then asked to keep the cat.

As they begin to nurture it, Wesley was 5 years old. And now the cat has reached the age of two decades.

Currently Wesley has a special place in Waukee Hardware Store & Rent-it Center. Wesley has a special chair with a "Not For Sale". The people there loved it.

In April two years ago when Wesley anniversary of the 18th, Geoff Warmouth tell, "he arrival of approximately 100 guests. We made two cakes, 10 pop and 120 hotdogs, for 18th birthday," as reported by USAToday. com, Wednesday (19/12).

One of the store's customers, Bill Peard said that, "Wesley Warmouth, is a cat that carries the family name of the owner of the store. He's like the ambassador."

According to the vet, Chuck Riordan, "Usually, the average age of the cat only reach 13-14 years, and Wesley is now 20 years old, it is tantamount to human centenarians (aged over 100 years old). Its Wow Pets."

The most favored by Wesley, was sitting in front of the mirror and see the world go round.
